MaxVolt Energy Puts Energy Storage in Focus at REI Expo 2026

Showcasing rack-type energy storage systems from 4.8 kWh to 60 kWh, lithium inverter batteries, solar solutions and EV battery packs — backed by 2.5 GWh of operational manufacturing capacity and a planned 10 GWh facility in Aligarh.

As India accelerates its transition towards renewable energy, the ability to store electricity reliably is becoming just as important as generating it. Battery storage helps make solar power available beyond daylight hours and supports a wider range of residential, commercial and industrial energy needs.

Against this backdrop, MaxVolt Energy Industries Limited (NSE Emerge: MAXVOLT) showcased its energy storage and electric mobility battery portfolio at the 19th Renewable Energy India Expo 2026, held at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida from 22 to 24 October 2026.

At Hall 6, Stall D-239, MaxVolt brought together solutions for renewable energy storage, backup power and electric mobility, highlighting its focus on serving customers and partners across a growing range of applications.

Energy Storage for Homes, Solar Installations and Industry

Energy storage led MaxVolt’s showcase at REI Expo 2026. The company presented rack-type Energy Storage Systems (ESS) ranging from 4.8 kWh to 60 kWh, designed for homes, solar installations and commercial and industrial (C&I) sites. These systems offer battery life of up to 10 years.

The range reflects the varied requirements of energy users — from households looking to store solar energy for later use to businesses seeking storage solutions for their facilities.

Where can energy storage make a difference?

  • Homes: Store energy for use when solar generation is low or unavailable.
  • Solar installations: Improve the usefulness of solar power by making stored energy available beyond generation hours.
  • Commercial buildings: Support backup power and day-to-day energy management.
  • Industrial and C&I sites: Help address site-specific energy storage and operational requirements.

As energy consumption patterns and renewable energy adoption evolve, modular storage options can help customers select capacity suited to their applications.

A Broader Portfolio of Lithium Battery and Power Solutions

Alongside its rack-type ESS range, MaxVolt showcased lithium inverter batteries, storage inverters and solar batteries. These products extend the company’s offering across backup power and solar-related applications.

The showcase also included lithium battery packs for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers, demonstrating MaxVolt’s presence across both stationary energy storage and electric mobility.

Together, these products reflect a portfolio designed for multiple use cases, including renewable energy storage, inverter backup and electric vehicle applications.

Supporting India’s Growing Energy Storage Needs

The renewable energy sector is increasingly focused on how clean electricity can be stored and used when needed. As solar capacity grows, battery storage can help bridge the gap between the timing of generation and the timing of demand.

India’s Central Electricity Authority has projected a requirement of approximately 208 GWh of battery storage by 2029–30. This anticipated need underlines the importance of scalable storage solutions for homes, businesses and industrial sites.

MaxVolt’s showcase at REI Expo 2026 placed energy storage at the centre of its engagement with the renewable energy ecosystem, with solutions spanning from home applications to factory-floor requirements.

Manufacturing Scale and a Growing Network

MaxVolt has been manufacturing since 2019 and operates a 2.5 GWh manufacturing plant at Duhai, Ghaziabad. The company reported FY26 revenue of ₹296.8 crore, up 176% year on year, and profit after tax of ₹24.4 crore. Its distribution and industry network spans more than 950 dealers and 170 OEM partners across 22 states, supporting its reach across a range of markets and applications.

This network is an important part of MaxVolt’s approach to connecting its products with customers, installers, distributors and original equipment manufacturers.

Looking Ahead: Planned 10 GWh Plant in Aligarh

In September 2026, MaxVolt held the bhoomi poojan for its planned 10 GWh manufacturing plant at Khyamai Industrial Estate, Aligarh. The project represents a planned investment of ₹700 crore and is intended to be developed in two phases of 5 GWh each.

When completed, the facility is expected to take MaxVolt’s total manufacturing capacity to 12.5 GWh and create an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 direct jobs. The planned facility is designed to support growing demand across the company’s segments, including dedicated production lines for OEM partners.

MaxVolt’s roadmap also includes a planned entry into four-wheeler EV batteries and continued battery management system (BMS) research with IIT Roorkee. Through its battery recycling subsidiary, MaxVolt ReEarth, the company is also building a circular approach to the batteries it makes.

Industry Engagement and Partnerships

REI Expo brings together participants from across India’s solar and energy storage ecosystem. For MaxVolt, the event provided an opportunity to engage with installers, EPC firms, distributors and other industry stakeholders.

Mukesh Gupta, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of MaxVolt Energy Industries Limited, said: “REI Expo is where the people building India’s renewable future come looking for partners they can rely on. Our message this year is clear: MaxVolt makes storage for every scale, from a home to a factory floor, alongside the EV batteries our partners already know us for. Our dealers and OEM partners have taken us to 22 states. The conversations at our stall, with installers, EPC firms and distributors, tell us the market is ready to move from lead-acid to lithium, and we are ready to meet it.”

Bhuvneshwar Pal Singh, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of MaxVolt Energy Industries Limited, added: “FY26 gave us a strong base. As we move through the second half of FY27, our focus is disciplined, profitable growth: making full use of our Duhai capacity, deepening our dealer and OEM network, and building Aligarh in phases so that new capacity comes up in step with demand. Energy storage is a growing part of that plan, and we expect it to play a larger role in our business in the years ahead.”

Powering the Next Phase of Energy Storage

MaxVolt Energy’s participation in REI Expo 2026 highlighted the growing role of battery storage alongside renewable energy and electric mobility. From 4.8 kWh to 60 kWh rack-type ESS to lithium inverter batteries, solar batteries, storage inverters and EV battery packs, the company presented a portfolio serving a range of applications.

With its existing manufacturing base, nationwide dealer and OEM network, and planned expansion in Aligarh, MaxVolt is preparing for evolving demand across energy storage and battery-powered applications.
